Lymphatic massage

Lymphatic massage (also known as lymphatic drainage massage) is a specialized massage technique that aids the function of the lymphatic system, stimulates the flow of lymph fluid, and supports detoxification in the body. The lymphatic system is responsible for removing waste products, toxic substances, and excess fluids from the body, so lymphatic massage can facilitate the body's cleansing processes.

During the massage, gentle, slow, rhythmic movements are used, directed along the lymphatic vessels toward the lymph nodes. This technique can reduce swelling, improve blood circulation, and relieve stress.

A large part of the lymphatic system is located close to the surface of the body, in contrast to the blood circulation, which is located in deeper layers. This is exactly why specific techniques are needed for lymphatic massage. Unlike other types of massage, a different kind of pressure is necessary here, as the main goal is to stimulate the lymphatic system, not the circulatory system.

Lymphatic massage can be particularly useful in the following cases:

  • Recovery after surgeries
  • Management of lymphedema (swelling)
  • Detoxification and improvement of gut flora balance
  • Reduction of fatigue and stress
  • Treatment of skin problems and cellulite
